The team directory
An opt-in workplace phone book — call, email or message a colleague, with the fields and visibility you choose.

The directory is your workspace phone book — a deliberate, consented way for the team to reach each other. It's off by default.
Turning it on
With the Manage chat permission, the gear on the Directory segment opens Directory settings:
- Enable directory.
- Details to show — tick which fields appear (job title, team, trade, email, phone, classification, start date, or your own profile fields). "Name and photo are always shown."
- Who can see whom — Everyone sees everyone, or People only see their own team (note: anyone without a team then sees an empty directory).
- Hide these people from the directory — keep specific people off it.
Using it
Anyone can open Directory, search people, and tap someone to see their card. The actions:
- Call — appears when a phone number is shown, and dials it.
- Email — appears when an email is shown, and opens a new message.
- Message — always there, and starts a chat DM.
Invited-but-not-joined, deactivated and anonymised people never appear.
Tip: the directory only shows what you choose under Details to show — so if Call and Email aren't appearing, add phone and email to the shown fields. It's a consented exposure, unlike the Users area, so nothing appears until you enable it.
