Sites and locations

The places work happens — depots, work areas and addresses — ready to drop onto a shift.

Sites are "where work happens: depots, work areas and places jobs attach to." Manage them in the Sites section.
Adding a site
Add site captures Name (required), Code, a Location description ("Address or directions for the field team") and an optional Client. On an existing site, an Active toggle archives it — "Archived sites stay linked to past work." The list shows Name, Code, Client, Location and Status.
Using sites on shifts
When you schedule a shift, the Site field opens Choose a site — your active sites, filtered to the job's client. If a site belongs to a different client than the job, Maliru flags it ("This site belongs to a different client than the job").
One-off addresses
Not every location needs a saved site. In the site picker, Use a one-off address lets you type a free-text address for that shift without creating a record — handy for a single visit. The field then shows the address instead of a site name.
Tip: save the places you return to as sites (with clear directions in the location description — field staff tap Directions to them from their phone), and keep one-off addresses for the genuine one-visit jobs.
