Clocking in and out

Start and stop the clock against your shift, take breaks, and switch tasks — all from My time.

My time is your clock. On a phone it's the main screen — one big button and a running timer.
Clocking in
Tap Clock in. Maliru shows today's shift under Today's shift so you clock in against the right job; if you've nothing scheduled it says "No shift today — you'll clock in for general work." Once on, the card turns green — On the clock — with a live timer and "since {time}" plus the job and site.
Breaks and switching
While clocked in you can:
  • Start break / End break — pick Rest, Meal or Other, and mark it Paid break if it is. The card shows On a break with its running time.
  • Switch task — move onto a different shift or job without clocking out.
Clocking out
Clock out opens a short review:
  • Tick which of today's assignments you completed, with an optional note per one.
  • Add an overall Note.
  • If you're on a break, clocking out ends it.
Wrong times? Don't stress — "Request a change from My time after clocking out." (see Your timesheet: submitting and corrections).
About location
If your workspace uses site geofences, Maliru records where you were when you clocked in and out — best effort, and it never blocks you. If location is off or denied, you clock in fine; the office just won't have the stamp. Being away from the site's radius only flags the entry for a manager to look at — it doesn't stop you working.
Your entries
My entries (under the clock) lists your recent time with Day/Week/Month/Year ranges. Each shows clock-in → clock-out (or in progress), the job, site, breaks and any flag (like Outside site geofence). Closed entries carry a Request change action.
Tip: always clock in from the shift picker rather than "general work" when you have a shift — it links your time to the job, which keeps your timesheet clean and your site geofence check meaningful.
