New to Maliru? From the sign-in screen, choose Create a company. Seven short steps stand between you and a working workspace:
- Set up your Maliru workspace — your name and business email. (If you were invited to an existing workspace, don't create a company — use the "Already invited to a workspace? Sign in instead" link.)
- Name the operation — your company or trading name (this names the workspace) and your job title.
- Where do you operate? — UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Other. "We will tailor currency, language and compliance defaults without locking you to one market."
- Tell us how you operate — team size and your main operating model (utilities & civils, telecoms & fibre, facilities, fleet, security, cleaning, plant, or other field operations). This tailors your starting templates.
- Choose what to switch on first — the module tiles. "All modules are included. You can change what appears later in settings." And note: "Pricing is based on user limits, not module access."
- Brand the workspace — drop in your logo ("a sharp horizontal PNG, JPEG or WebP at least 600 x 160px", under 5 MB) and pick a colour system. You can Skip for now and do this later under Global settings → Branding.
- Verify the owner phone — "This number becomes the first protected owner sign-in." Enter the SMS code and tap Open workspace.
A few seconds of "Creating your {Company} workspace..." and you're in.
What you start with
- You are the owner — the one profile holding every permission, including settings and billing.
- Your region's compliance packs are loaded — ready-made form templates like vehicle walkarounds and site inductions.
- New workspaces start with 5 seats; the seat pill in Users shows usage as your team joins.
First moves worth making
- Get your team in — Users → Add user (see Getting your team in).
- Set up a workstream for your main type of work, or just import a job sheet — the import brings columns and statuses with it.
- Check your notification settings so the right things reach your phone and inbox.
Tip: the fastest path from empty to useful is an import — see Creating and importing jobs.
