On a laptop or any wide screen, Maliru opens the office workspace: navigation on the left, your work in the middle, tools in the top bar.
The navigation rail
Sections appear in a fixed order — Me, Dashboard, Jobs, Schedule, Clients, Sites, Fleet, Assets & equipment, Authorizations, Forms & inspections, Defects & issues, Evidence & audit, Timesheets, Commercial, Communications, Users — showing only the modules your workspace has switched on. Collapse shrinks the rail to icons; your choice is remembered.
Dashboard is home: "Needs your attention" tiles (unconfirmed shifts, forms awaiting review, expiring credentials…), a Pulse of activity, and Quick actions — New job, Schedule shift, Send update, Start inspection, Report issue, Add vehicle.
The top bar
- Search — one box across the whole workspace: "Jobs, sites, clients, fleet and more." Type a reference, a name, a registration — results are grouped by record type and open directly.
- Talk to support — starts a live chat with the Maliru team.
- Help — opens this knowledge base.
- The bell — your notification inbox. Every notification lands here, whatever your channel settings; Mark all read clears the badge.
- Messages — team chat, requests and updates in an overlay, without leaving the screen you're on.
The account menu
Click your avatar, top right:
- Global settings — modules, alert rules, workspace profile and branding.
- Notification settings — what reaches you on each channel (see Notification preferences).
- Switch company — if you belong to more than one workspace.
- Sign out.
Small things that help
- Your place survives a refresh — the open section is kept in the URL and restored on reload.
- Notifications deep-link: tapping a shift notification lands you on the Schedule with that shift open.
- The browser's back and forward buttons work as you'd expect between sections.
