Not receiving notifications

The inbox always has everything — so if pushes aren't reaching your phone or browser, it's one of four switches.

First, open the bell. The in-app inbox keeps every notification regardless of any setting. If the inbox has the notification but your phone stayed silent, the record is fine — delivery to that device is what needs fixing.
On your phone
  1. OS permission — Maliru asks for notification permission after you first sign in. If it was declined, the app stays quiet without any warning — that's deliberate, the inbox is the fallback. Re-enable it in your phone's settings: Settings → Notifications → Maliru → Allow Notifications (iOS) or Settings → Apps → Maliru → Notifications (Android).
  2. Your Maliru settings — Me → Settings → Notifications. Check the Mobile column: the Everything master switch, then the category (e.g. Job assignments & shifts), then the specific type inside it.
  3. Signed in? Push only reaches a signed-in device. If someone signed out — or the phone was handed over from another user — sign in again.
In your browser
  1. Browser permission — the browser asks the first time; if it was blocked, allow notifications for your Maliru address in the browser's site settings (the padlock/tune icon by the address bar).
  2. The Web column in your notification settings — same three levels as mobile.
  3. Browser pushes only appear when that browser profile is signed in to Maliru.
Email
The Email channel is a daily digest at 07:00 (workspace time) of what you haven't read — it is not instant, and no unread items means no email that day. Check the Email column in settings, and your spam folder for "…updates you missed on Maliru".
Specific cases
  • "My worker didn't get the shift" — check their entry in the shift's Team list. If it shows not confirmed yet, delivery happened and Maliru will chase them automatically within 48 hours of the start (see Confirmations, declines and reminders).
  • New route published, no push — publishing a route doesn't push a notification; the route appears on the worker's Today/Work tabs, and the confirm reminder chases if it stays unconfirmed. Route changes do push.
  • Notifications for the wrong company — sign out and back in, or use Switch company; notifications follow the workspace the device is signed in to.
If the bell inbox itself is missing things, contact support — that's ours to fix.
